The official national Candy Corn Day is October 30th.  Candy corn has been an all-American favorite since the Wunderle Candy Company began making the world's first tricolor candy in the 1880's.

Candy corn was first marketed as "Chicken Feed”.  It was originally sold in large barrels, but in the 1940’s they began using ‘family sized’ cellophane bags.  Originally the candy was made by hand.

The recipe for candy corn was simple: sugar, corn syrup, water, and other ingredients were put into massive kettles that could hold up to 45lbs of the mixture. It was cooked into a slurry and, once well blended, marshmallow and fondant were added to the kettles. This served to smooth out the texture and make the candy soft when bitten. The mixture was poured into buckets called “runners” and workers called “stringers” would walk backwards while they poured the mixture into kernel-shaped, cornstarch dusted molds. The workers passed over the molds with the buckets three times, each time with a different color: white, orange, and yellow.

Fun fact: candy corn is made from bottom to top. The yellow bit is the top and the white is the bottom.

This mini bath bomb packs a powerful moisturizing combination of shea butter and cocoa butter to leave your skin soft and smooth.

These are mini bombs. You can use one OR combine them with other bomb and/or bubble bar scents to create your own specially scented bath.

Scent:  warm vanilla candy with top notes of butter with a slight down of almond.

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate (baking soda), Citric Acid, Zea Mays (Corn) Starch, Tapioca Starch, Apricot Kernal Oil, Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, Castor Oil, water soluble colorant, fragrance.

The color is created from a combination of water soluble colorants (in other words - they mix in the water and won't stain your skin or tub).  Any errant colorant flecks wash off easily with a wet washcloth.
